As IT projects go, websites are relatively straightforward. Imagine rolling a major software update out to 300 stores of a major supermarket chain. The cock-up potential is enormous. The impact of any cock-up is potentially exponential. Web projects rarely drift this nerve-shreddingly close to the edge of disaster.

 

But, web projects are business critical and require careful planning and management. We take our project management very seriously. At the outset, by carefully scoping all projects and capturing critical requirements. Right through the full lifecycle of the project to delivery where we ensure that comprehensive testing phases are signed-off and go-live is managed in a controlled manner with the minimum of disruption to "business as usual".

 

But, once again, the main thing about project management is the simplest thing of all. Communication. We always keep our customers informed. With good news - and bad. With progress - and lack of it. No ducking for cover. You'd think good, courteous communication should be taken as a given. But, most customers who bring their business to us from elsewhere cite poor communication as a significant reason for moving.

 

Sometimes the simple things are hardest to achieve...
