About Webmesters...
WEBMESTERS was formed by Sheffield based IT consultant / musician Jon Short. In 2000, Jon started out promoting his own music on the internet. By 2002 business was booming to such an extent that he was able to give up his day job to concentrate on music full-time.
Increasingly, Jon found himself being asked by friends (and by friends of friends) to develop websites for them and to help them with internet marketing. Pretty soon, more ambitious projects followed as Jon was approached by several major UK companies to do their webmastering. And so WEBMESTERS was born.
Jon's background in Information Technology is central to WEBMESTERS professional approach to web enablement. Between 1990-2002, Jon worked on full-lifecycle projects, either as a project manager or at a senior technical level (design, development, testing and support), for companies such as Asda, The Post Office, Parcelforce, TNT, Lloyds of London, Kingston Communications etc...
